I was inordinately happy to wake up to the news about Mamdani today and I live in Albania and will probably never live in NYC. I've been following his joyous campaign for weeks and its only the primary! Cannot wait for the general election.

I am a proud member of Melani's We Do Not Care Club. It's a great stress relief, and I'm so happy to see that there are chapters all around the world now.

I love Melani’s WDNC club. It’s funny and relatable and I feel so seen!

And yes, good primary results—full of hope and good ideas.

It was so incredibly affirming to see Mamdani’s campaign take hold - we were also thrilled that our incumbent city council rep, who was primaried for speaking out against the war in Gaza by a very well funded and competitive candidate, easily won with over 70% of the first choice votes. It was truly a fantastic night to be a New Yorker who wants a city that is affordable to all.

My Opp Shop (Charity shop) volunteer job brings me so much joy, I didn't expect it to bring any joy. When I signed up to volunteer I was hoping for a behind the scenes job but they needed people behind the counter so I reluctantly said yes. It's so old school I have to add up customers purchases in my head or with pen and paper which I'm not wild about, but I guess its got the old brain working again. But the best part is the interaction with all the people who come into the shop, I so love chatting to them hearing a little about their lives, having a laugh, admiring the purchases they found, it's a great little shop jam packed with goodies and very popular with the locals. I only do four hours a week but it feels like it gives me more than I give it.
