I don't know if you guys are into horses but Skye is famous for its gorgeous PONIES. For a fun time you can book a riding tour through here: https://www.theisleofskyetrekkingcentre.co.uk/pony-trekking/

Congrats on the bestseller list!

Edinburgh - we love the National Museum of Scotland, the building itself and the exhibits. It's tricky to find the right elevator, but pop up to the roof top terrace for a view over the city. (Entry is free.) https://www.nms.ac.uk

Scotland is such a visual feast! You'll enjoy all the minutes. We loved the stroll around the outside of the castle and the overlook. And, a trip to see the Greyfriars Bobby monument. He was a loyal and true dog and was said to have been a Skye Terrier. I also enjoyed sitting in cafes and enjoying coffee with locals.

We went to Edinburgh this summer. Amazing city! Loved the Harry Potter walking tour (if you’re HP fans), Mary’s King Close or Ghost tours (Edinburgh has a whole underground city under the Royal Mile), climbing the Scott Monument for great views.

Scran & Scallie was our favorite dinner, amazing elevated pub food from local suppliers. The neighborhood it’s in is very cute. We also love Dishoom for Indian (although not local, small UK chain).

You'll love Scotland- I've been 3 times and keep wanting to go back! In Edinburgh, definitely walk the Royal Mile, and visit the New Town (check out Dean Village). After exploring Princes Street, I recommend walking up to the Stewart Monument, which overlooks Princes Street and is especially pretty at sunset. Definitely explore some of the side streets in the Old Town off the Royal Mile- Victoria Street especially. There are two ways to get to Skye- if you drive the A87 route, Dunkeld and Pitlochry are charming smaller towns to stop in. The A82/A87 route takes longer but is super beautiful- and will take you through Glencoe and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. If you have time, it's worth it to take this route (stop in the Glencoe valley). Fort Augustus is a slight detour off of either route, and you can see Loch Ness if you go there! Skye will probably be busier than you are expecting, but it's so, so beautiful! If you want to beat the crowds, hit the Fairy Glen in the morning (by 9:30 if you can). Definitely don't miss the Quairang. The Fairy Pools are about a 45-minute hike from the road and are usually very busy (we decided not to go there, but I've been told if it's busy a lot of the allure is missing). I hope you have a fantastic trip! And congrats on your book! You must be so excited and proud!

Scotland, and especially Isle of Skye, was one of my favorite trips a few years ago! We drove the Trotternish Loop and loved it. We stayed near Portree, which was a very cute lil town to wander around, though I do remember it being very difficult to find somewhere to eat dinner without a reservation. We loved getting out and hiking up to the Old Man of Storr - the views are incredible. The Quiraing was another highlight.

Hi, I was just in Edinburgh last week. We really enjoyed Holyrood Castle and there's a worthwhile exhibit of paintings from Buckingham Palace there now. I would have loved to hike Arthur's seat if we'd had another day. We had a good "pub food" lunch at Nicholson's on the Royal Mile and a delicious dinner at Baba (make reservations!) Very much enjoyed lunch at Brown's in New Town; the light, airy dining room was a nice change from the small, dark pubs. If we weren't so hungry for lunch, I would have loved to have the high tea at Brown's from 3:00-5:00. We stayed at the Kimpton Hotel on Charlotte Square and walked most everywhere from there. Have a great trip!

If your kids are Harry Potter fans, a visit to the Elephant House cafe would be fun. Rowling did some of her writing there and overlooking the cemetery helps you to envision her inspiration. I’m not sure it’s open as Yelp says its temporarily closed but it’s worth checking into. If you do go, make sure you check out the bathrooms!

Hei! I am italian living in Norway and really wanted to get the chance to read your book. Two weeks ago I contacted my local library to ask if they would be interested to purchase the book as abortion is a very relevant topic at the moment, both in US as well as in many EU countries (the new government in Italy has suggested a modification of the abortion law to make it more difficult to pursue an abortion!!). I have got a replay a week later, that they had purchased the book for the library and reserved it for me!! I was so happy I and all users at my library would get the chance to read it!!!
