In this newsletter: An update on my nephew's ordeal with CPS, a report on the roof of the Small House (spoiler: it's asbestos), the prettiest ice cream cake, a home tour in Nairobi, and other terrific links.
Hi! I went to click thru the ice cream cake recipe and it brought up a page saying it was a site mimicking your website? Wondering if this is a mistake?
I had a similar problem. I got a message saying "Your connection to this web page is not safe due to an unmatching security certificate. This means that the certificate was issued for a different web address than the one it is being used for, and you run the risk of exposing your data by accessing this page."
So sorry for the trouble! I've updated the links, so feel free to scroll up and see if they work better for you. Or, you may want to try what JeanFB tried: type in designmom.com instead of clicking from the newsletter and see if that works.
Yes - I'm using Chrome on a Mac and I got a warning about a "Privacy Error" when trying to click through from the newsletter. When I just went to a new tab in Chrome and typed in designmom . com, it came up just fine, with no warning given, and with the little "lock" icon next to the URL. Something about going through the newsletter/email seems to be the problem.
So strange! I'm glad it worked for you via the browser. All of the posts I linked to should be easy to find by just scrolling down a bit at designmom.com.
Oh! I know exactly what's going on. I'm so sorry you're seeing an error message! The site has been so troublesome lately, that I moved it to a new server. It's actually working well now, but if you've visited my site in the past, there is probably old data in your browser that hasn't been cleared yet.
I was seeing the same error message two days ago, but I cleared my browser cache and then the site showed up correctly for me. It's now working for me in both Chrome and Safari on both my laptop and my phone.
