Excellent points about the ICE people. Everything is making me so sick these days in our nation. The bright spot was the protests on Saturday. But that is only a brief respite for what is happening. The ICE raids, the political violence. Trump NOT calling on the family of the MN rep and her husband that was killed, or to Gov Walz! Not to mention the other 32 people that were listed on this man's papers. I never thought I would see such a lack of dignity, decorum, empathy and just basic human decency. It is so disheartening, because I think things will get worse. These actions are from the playbooks of the "democratic authoritarian" regimes currently in the world, Russia, Turkey and Hungary. Sickening and worrisome.
Thank you for this. There’s a scream inside of me that feels like it will never stop and I’m a white lady. I cannot imagine the terror targeted people feel.
Thank you for this. Your ideas of what to do are really smart and good. Be glad—in a way—that you are an ocean away. The vibes here are heavy and scary. I am probably significantly older than you, an old anti war protestor, and I’m appalled by this. Only could be done by ugly, hate filled people. I have dreams of Kristi Noem being confronted in heaven bu the dog she murdered—not that anything happens that way but it is a consoling thought. Keep the peace
I have LVNs who take care of my severely disabled daughter. One of them cancelled her shift because ICE was in her neighborhood (we live in Los Angeles), and she wanted her parents to stay inside. All are documented, but they are from Mexico. Her father is stubborn, though, and refused to stay inside, so she is giving up her work shift to make sure that they are safe. She is 35 years old, and they are in their 50s. They've lived here for over 35 years. It's so awful, so utterly fucked up. I appreciate all your suggestions and deeply admire those who can actually do these things -- but what I've seen around here in Los Angeles is deeply frightening. NO one is safe. I prepare myself to use my phone, to use my sharp tongue, etc. etc., but how many will really be able to do anything but enrage the fascists?

I'm training next week to be a legal observer. I both hope I don't have to use it and can't WAIT to confront these tools

I would advise pulling off hats or masks or doing anything that involves touching their person. That could be construed as assault.
Re: Lee, apparently people are calling his stake President. Hope that has effect.
