On Tuesday, Ralph & Paola arrived at CDG from Salt Lake City. A few hours later, Oscar & Flora June arrived at CDG from Cousin’s Week in the U.S.. Ben Blair and I drove to Paris to pick them all up and bring them back to Normandy. The rest of the siblings (Maude, Olive, Betty) had a spaghetti dinner waiting for us when we got back from Paris. The whole family together again. The best.
Very early the following morning (Wednesday), the nine of us embarked on a pilgrimage to Mont St. Michel. We walked the same paths pilgrims have been walking for nearly a thousand years. It was a remarkable experience and I look forward to reporting all about it. We arrived at Mont St. Michel on Saturday evening and slept on the island.
We made it back to our home in Argentan around 4pm on Sunday (that’s yesterday). Our muscles ached. Our feet were blistered and swollen (still are). We showered, got in pajamas, and ordered Italian takeout for dinner.
Around 8pm, as we were finishing dinner, Oscar got a text and announced to the table: Biden dropped out.
