Discussion Guide for Ejaculate Responsibly
I’m pleased as punch to announce that the Discussion Guide for Ejaculate Responsibly is ready to share! And it’s available for free! Our family’s resident PhD, Dr. Ben Blair, who has read and discussed this book many times, wrote the discussion guide. It’s really good. This is no surprise to me because one of Ben’s strengths — as a teacher and a student — is asking the kind of questions that prompt meaningful discussions. My editor at Workman Publishing, Maisie Tivnan, edited the guide and had copy editors look at it too, and then the design team made it pretty. And now it’s ready for you!
You can use it for your book clubs, for discussions with your family, in your classroom, or even as a personal study guide. You can click here to download the guide, or find it on the book page at Design Mom.
Impact Goals Update
Speaking of book clubs, here’s an update on how many book clubs have let me know they’ve scheduled a discussion of Ejaculate Responsibly so far:
I LOVE seeing this number grow. The more people are discussing the book, the more the ideas in the book will have an influence. If your book club is going to discuss Ejaculate Responsibly and you want to be part of this impact goal, find all the info about how to be included in my blog post. Bonus: I’ll be joining several book clubs via zoom!
Review Request
If you have two minutes to spare today, I would very much appreciate it if you would please leave a review of Ejaculate Responsibly on Amazon. 5-star reviews have an outsize influence on how well a book does, so this is a really simple and practical way to help support the book. Ejaculate Responsibly currently has 526 reviews on Amazon. It would be amazing to get that number to 1000+ by the end of the year.
If this feels like an intimidating ask, please remember that it does not have to be a fancy or complex review. Even a quick two-word entry (like: “Highly recommend” or “Perspective shifting”) will do just fine. Click here to access the reviews and leave your own.
Even if you didn’t buy your book from Amazon, you can still leave a review on Amazon. (That reminds me: If a book is getting a ton of reviews all at once, sometimes Amazon will temporarily limit reviews to verified purchases only, but once things calm down, anyone can leave a review.)
If you’ve already left a review, I want to sincerely thank you. And if you’re about to leave one, please know I’m grateful in advance.
Win an Ejaculate Responsibly Publicity Box!
I’ve had so many DMs wondering if the publicity boxes that were sent out for the book launch are available for sale. Sadly, they are not — there was a very limited amount created and they’re almost gone. BUT, in happier news, I asked the publicity team to set aside two boxes as giveaway prizes. And they did! And now I’m hosting a giveaway and two lucky winners will each receive a publicity box!!
The giveaway is Instagram based and you can find all the info on this reel. If you win, you can have the box sent to you, or to anyone you like.
The publicity box includes:
-The Ejaculate Responsibly book
-An Ejaculate Responsibly bumper sticker (these are not for sale, the only way to get one is to win this box)
-An Ejaculate Responsibly condom (also not for sale)
-And an Ejaculate Responsibly tote bag
And all the goodies come in an amazing Ejaculate Responsibly box that looks just like the book cover, but is much bigger. This box is not wrapped in brown paper, or inserted into another box when it’s shipped — it shows up at your door big and bold with Ejaculate Responsibly written like a big headline. It’s a really fun surprise to come home to. You can enter the giveaway through Thursday. Winners will be announced this Friday.

So happy to connect here ..
Hello. I am Japanese.
I'm reading and writing with machine translation.
In the discussion guide, the following was written.
"We are especiallyinterested in hearing first-person stories from readers that can give additional context and color tothese arguments."
I would like to know about you and your husband.
Your husband, Mr. Ben Blair, is currently having a vasectomy. However, he did not used a condom until then. So contraception became your responsibility, and you suffered a lot of side effects.
Why didn't your husband use condoms?
I would like to know how you and your husband was feeling at that time.
