The 2016 election really did a number on me, and I know I’m not alone. Earlier this week, as Kamala Harris secured the delegates to get the nomination, I realized I was holding on to some real fear that America would make a repeat of 2016, and choose Donald Trump over a far more competent and qualified woman. So I sat with my fears and thought through them, and it was clear to me that I was wrong. My fears aren’t based in reality. So much has changed in the last 8 years. 2024 is not 2016.
If you’re ever feeling doubtful, feel free to read this list of a dozen reasons why I’m confident Americans are not going to choose Donald Trump this November.
1- Americans are tired of Trump.
His circus of cons and lies and confusion is exhausting. After Biden’s inauguration, it was such a relief to realize I could go days or weeks at a time without having to think of the current President. That should be a normal thing, but isn’t under a Trump presidency. I know the press makes more money when Donald is creating chaos, but the vast majority of Americans are sick of Trump, and look forward to the day he’s no longer in the news.
